Terms of use

Last updated 12 August 2026

ZyncTools is free to use, with no account and no limits. These terms cover the short list of things worth stating plainly.

1. What the service is

ZyncTools is a collection of utilities that run in your web browser. All processing happens on your own device; files are not uploaded. The service is provided free of charge, without registration, and without usage limits.

2. Using the service

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to process material you have no right to process.
  • Attempt to disrupt the site or the people using it.
  • Present the service as your own product, or resell access to it.

Because processing is local, what you do with your own files is between you and your files. We have no visibility into it and no ability to intervene.

3. Your files and your responsibility

Keep your originals. Tools transform data, and a mistaken setting can produce a result you did not want. Nothing is recoverable from our side because nothing reaches our side. Encryption tools are a particular case: if you lose a passphrase, the data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

4. No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that every tool produces a correct result for every input, that the site will always be available, or that it is fit for any particular purpose. Verify anything important before relying on it.

5. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or other damages arising from use of the service. Since the service is free and processes nothing on our infrastructure, the practical scope of any such claim is limited.

6. Third-party libraries

Some tools load open-source libraries from a public CDN at runtime. Those libraries are governed by their own licences, and their availability is outside our control.

7. Licence

The ZyncTools source is released under the AGPL-3.0-or-later licence. You may use, modify and self-host it under those terms, which include making your modified source available to users of your version.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated; the date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

9. Contact

Questions go to the project's GitHub repository.
